SYNOPSIS:

5 friends. A killer within. WHO WILL SNAP?

In nine weeks Charlie Miller’s life goes from absolute perfection to gruesome tragedy. All it takes is one night, one blade, and her boyfriend, best friend and new friends all either end up as suspects or dead.

But Charlie’s world of pro football golden boys, law school domination and New York City nightlife crumbles long before sudden death. Nate Westcott, a pierced, tattooed, charismatic lawyer, is a man she can’t have—but a seductive danger she can’t ignore. He’s cocky, infuriating, brilliant and wrong, making her question whether she really is the good girl she wants to be or more like the selfish killer everyone thinks she is.

And her body wants him in ways she’s not supposed to crave.

Despite her desire for it to be how it was during college, Charlie’s changing, and so are the friends she thought she knew. Everyone she cares about is at risk because one of them has darkness lurking beneath, and if Charlie wants to survive, she must find that single, poisonous soul.

Because they want Charlie out of the way. And to succeed, they’ll kill.

Start at the beginning. Question them all.

REVIEW:

I cannot even begin to express just how much I enjoyed this serial. I’m going to make this review spoiler-free, but it will seem rather vague, because it is difficult to not give something away.

There are five key players in this serial:

Charlie – She is a law student who is the main character in Snapped. All of the novellas are from her point of view. Charlie is easy to like. She is down to earth, smart, and stands up for herself when she needs to. I’ve mentioned before in previous reviews that I admire strong heroines and she definitely embodies that.

Slade – He is the handsome, charismatic, professional football player that every woman drools over. He also happens to be Charlie’s boyfriend.

Lara – She is the drop-dead gorgeous, spunky, model-type best friend of Charlie. They have been best friends for about 13 years.

Nate – He is the sexy, sarcastic bad boy who tends to want to get to know Charlie on a much more personal level despite the fact that she’s in love with Slade.

Reagan – She is the quiet, demure, law student who is also a bit of a loner and longs to be part of their group of friends.

Once upon a time, they were all the best of friends. They could tell each other everything and never question it. They could experience every form of difficulty and not let it get in the way of their relationship. Unfortunately, good times don’t last forever and they’ll find that trust is such a fragile thing: so hard to gain and so easy to destroy.

This serial had me guessing the entire time. Just when you think you know what is going on, you are thrown into another whirlpool of lies and betrayal.

I highly recommend Snapped if you want to read a fast-paced, suspenseful thriller.

These characters will make you laugh, cry, and so angry that you will want to break something. At least, that’s what I experienced.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars!!
